Join us for a festive 3-week mosaic class where you’ll create a whimsical 8x10 framed glass mosaic—complete with your own handmade fused glass ornament centerpiece!
In the first session, you’ll design a colorful fused glass ornament as an intro into the basics of fused glass. The following weeks will be spent cutting, arranging, and grouting glass to complete your mosaic Grinch Hand project.
This project combines both fused and mosaic glass techniques, giving you the opportunity to explore texture, color, and creativity in one piece.

The following items are to be supplied by each Student
One 8" x 10" picture frame
Goggles or eye protection. I always suggest wearing goggles during cutting/nipping and when using the grinder.. There is always a chance of flying glass! If you wear glasses on a regular basis, you won’t need goggles. If you don’t have any, I will have a few extra pairs to share.
Closed-toe shoes. Glass shards and bare feet don’t mix!
These items will be supplied by Cricket Mosaics and Three Rivers Art Glass (included in the class price):
Glass cutting tools. Nippers, grozing pliers, running pliers, hand files, and glass cutters are all available for your use during the class. A grinder is also available in the studio..
Stained glass. I have a large variety of broken pieces of glass, as well as some full sheets. If there is something you KNOW you will want, I may be able to get specific colors, etc.
Adhesives. Everyone will have their own!
Grout. There will be a light-colored neutral grout and a dark-colored neutral grout to choose from.
Grouting tools. Rags, sponges, all you’ll need!
Instruction and guidance. I will be there with you every step of the way!
