Spoon Rest Bottles
Upcycled wine bottle art
This bottle is similar to the flattened bottle but with a bump in the neck to raise the utensil handle.
These bottles are designed to be spoon rests but have been used as cheese servers, cutting boards for small fruits like lemons or limes.
The wine bottle is thoroughly cleaned, coated in a specially prepared solution and air dried. The bottle is flattened by slowly heating in the kiln to a temperature of 1400 degrees. The total time in the kiln is around 8 hours.
